RULES:
All rules as per the 2008 B.S.P.S.Rule & Show Handbook, except for any new or amended rules as included in this schedule. All Ponies must be four years old and over.
The following Classes are qualifiers for the B.S.P.S.Winter Championship Show, the 1st & 2nd and 3rd prizewinners will qualify in the Novice Classes and the Open first Pony of Hunter Type Class and in the MIXED HEIGHT NOVICE CLASSES the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th winners will qualify. In the Open Classes the 1st ,2nd & 3rd prizewinners overall in each class will qualify and the three highest placed Restricted animals in each class will qualify, and in the MIXED HEIGHT OPEN CLASSES the 1st,2nd .3rd and 4th prizewinners
Overall will qualify and the four highest placed Restricted animals will qualify, (Riders on Restricted animals MUST wear an armband) Restricted animals may also be placed in the overall class and qualify for both Open & Restricted sections. Animals must be registered before the date of the Show at which they qualify for the Winter Championship and must be ridden by B.S.P.S.Members, except in the case of exhibitors who have never been members before who are allowed 7 days in which to become members and register their ponies, providing they have a valid J.M.B.Certificate before the Championship they qualify for.
HERITAGE QUALIFICATION:
The 1st, 2nd & 3rd placed ponies in the Novice Classes will qualify and in the Mixed Height Novice Classes 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th prizewinners will qualify. In the Open (Restricted) Classes the qualification will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd prizewinners overall and the three highest Restricted animals in each class, and in the mixed height Open (Restricted) classes the 1st.2nd, 3rd & 4th prizewinners overall and four highest placed Restricted animals will qualify, (Riders on Restricted animals MUST wear an armband) Restricted animals may also be placed in the overall class and qualify for both the Open and Restricted sections.
Animals must be registered before the date of the Show at which they qualify for the Winter Championships and must be ridden by B.S.P.S.Members,except in the case of exhibitors who have never been members before who are allowed 7 days in which to become members and register their ponies.
CHAPS (UK) QUALIFIERS
From each class 4 animals may qualify from the class placings. Both the owner and the rider of each exhibitor need not be a fully paid up members of CHAPS(UK) at the time of the competition, nor must the animal be registered, but to validate the qualification both membership and registration must be applied for within 14 days of qualification. Open to all CHAPS (UK) registered horses and ponies that have not been placed at the HOYS at any time. All stallions must be graded with Chaps(UK) in order to compete.
Ponies Association (UK)
Qualification open to P (UK) members and non-members of P (UK). To validate your qualification, competitors are required to complete the registration of qualification and send full membership (if not already submitted) along with £10.00 declaration of entry. An additional £15.00 will be payable by close of entries. Please send to the Ponies (UK) office within 14 days in order for the qualification to remain valid.
