General rules

Ages as on 1st January in the current year.

1       Points are awarded from and including the date upon which membership
commences.

2       Points are awarded to each horse/rider combination with the exception of
equitation classes when they are awarded solely to the rider.

3       Correctly secured British Standard Riding Hats (Nos PAS015, EN1384,
(USA) ASTMF1163) Must be worn at all times whilst mounted.

4       All competitors must be correctly dressed for their respective classes.
Anyone incorrectly dressed will not be allowed to compete. This includes clear
round jumping & working hunter clear round. The only exception will be at the
judges discretion, - the wearing of waterproof jackets in wet weather or the
removal of jackets in very hot weather.

5       Any specific rules relating to the eligibility for classes, particularly show
jumping and working hunter classes must be adhered to.

7       Spurs may be worn by junior members in show jumping classes only.

8       Any competitors found to be abusing a horse/pony by means of whip, spurs
or bit will be dealt with severely.

9       No whip to exceed 30' in length.

10       The judges decision is final in all classes at a show.

 

11  Anyone who conducts him/herself at a show in a manner which is
abusive, offensive or dangerous to fellow competitors, show officials or
the public will be disqualified from the class to which the incident relates
& asked to leave the showground.

12           Any objection must be made in writing within seven days and accompanied
by a £10 deposit which will be returned if the objection is sustained.
